You’re viewing set of two Pickleball paddle shaped charcuterie/cheese boards. These pickleball paddle boards are handmade from 100% solid hardwood in our small Indiana shop from locally sourced hardwoods. Wood is a natural material so your boards will be very similar but vary in grain pattern and color from the pictured samples. Being solid cherry the boards you receive will likely be lighter than the pictured samples but over time cherry will darken to a deeper/darker color. This is the classic cherry color that can’t be duplicated with stains.
These two boards measure almost exactly the same size as a common pickleball paddle — 16″ L x 8 1/8″ W x 3/4″ thick (+- 1/8). Printed cutting board care instructions are included but not the pictured pickleball.
The style board is also available in hard maple, ash and red oak
These are finished with all natural mineral oil and then a coat of our proprietary blend of mineral oil and beeswax. Mineral oil is a non-drying oil, which means that it will not polymerize (form a plastic-like substance) over time. This is good for oiling wood surfaces that are in contact with water because it will stay a bit liquid in the wood and flow into cracks and scratches. It is also food-safe and won’t go rancid or support microorganisms. Mineral oil is inexpensive and available at a wide variety of stores. Periodic reapplication of the oil after cleaning the board will return it to like new condition. Use mild soap during cleaning and it should not be submerged in water.
